Last weekend marked an important moment for the Swiss Raw team: the launch and christening of their new ocean rowing boat, the Achilles. After winning the toughest rowing race in the world, the team is now preparing for the next challenge - crossing the Pacific Ocean from Monterey to Hawaii in June 2025, covering an incredible 4,444 kilometers.
traser is honored to support the Swiss Raw team as official sponsor and partner on this extraordinary journey. Our clocks, equipped with trigalight® lighting that glows for up to 20 years without an external power source, will be an essential tool for the team. During the crossing, the four rowers will operate on a demanding rotating system: 2 hours rowing, 2 hours rest, 24 hours a day. The self-powered light ensures they can accurately monitor their shifts, even in complete darkness.
Achilles represents courage, determination and a spirit of adventure. During the christening, Swiss Raw team manager Yves Neupert emphasized that the boat is not just a boat, but the result of hard work, teamwork and a shared dream to conquer the immense forces of the Pacific.
traser shares this passion for precision and reliability. Just as the team pushes its limits, our watches are designed to perform in extreme conditions, embodying the same unwavering determination.
We wish the team and their trusted companion, Achilles, a safe and successful journey and will be watching their progress with great enthusiasm. Together we make the impossible possible - with the tracer, light in the dark!
